Absence from School
Parents are asked to ring or e-mail school on the first day of absence. If we have received no message about the absence by 10.00am, we will make contact via the phone numbers we hold in school. A letter or e-mail of explanation must be sent to the school. If any absence is likely to exceed three days please let us know in order to save the Education Welfare Officer making a visit of enquiry to your home. If you wish to withdraw your child during the school day in order to keep an appointment with a doctor or dentist etc please e-mail school stating the date and time of the appointment.
Parents are strongly recommended not to arrange family holidays during term time. Regular attendance at school is vital. In those exceptional circumstances where holidays or term time absence for another reason needs to be taken, please contact the school office for the relevant forms and further information.
